FAQ for international students

General information:
The minimum rental period is 12 months. The contract can be extended thereafter for another 12 months if you wish. Rooms are allocated on a “first come – first serve” basis.

The rooms are in group units (usually 4-6 rooms) with shared showers, toilets and kitchens. However, all rooms do have wash basins with mirror, and are furnished with curtains, a bed, small desk and closet. You do need to bring your own bedding (sheets, pillow and blanket)!

The rooms are pre-assigned and cannot be changed during your stay.

1. How can I get a room?
Please send an email to our rental manager. You will receive a reservation form that needs to be mailed back to us with a copy of your passport.

2. What are the move-in dates?
Summer semester: March 1st or April 1st
Winter semester: September 1st or October 1st

3. What are the monthly costs?
Starting September 1st 2017, The rent is EUR 290,00 per month including all costs like electricity, water, heating. There will be NO additional fees or extra costs.

In addition, you need to pay a room deposit of EUR 300,00 before you move in. The deposit will be returned to you in cash when you move out and the room is returned in an orderly manner, clean and with no damage to the furniture.

4. What are the Move-in requirements ?
The minimum rental period is 12 months!
Once you have received a room confirmation from us, your reservation is FINAL AND CANNOT BE CANCELLED!
You will also receive information on the move-in procedure per email. The rental contract will be signed by you on the day you arrive. You need to bring the following on the scheduled day of your move-in, otherwise the room cannot be handed over to you:

1. Signed rental contract and house rules (twice)
3. Your passport and a copy of the main page of your passport

The first rent of € 290,00 and the deposit of € 300,00 has to be paid in advance on our bank account!

The monthly rent or room deposit CANNOT be paid through credit or debit cards!

5. What about Internet access?
There is free WLAN access through our sponsor Telewerk. You will receive the access codes after you have moved in.

6. How are the rooms furnished?
The room is furnished with a bed, closet, small desk and chair. You need to bring you own bedding (sheets, pillow, blanket)!

7. Are there washers and dryers?
Yes, there are coin operated washers and dryers in the basement of the building.

Bus und Bahn

Auch wenn Dieburg nicht gerade Verkehrsknotenpunkt ist, mit den “Öffentlichen” kommt man ganz gut weg – und wieder hin.

Um vom Quartier56 aus auch ohne Auto mobil zu sein, stehen zahlreiche öffentliche Verkehrsmittel zur Verfügung. Mit dem Bus gibt es direkt Verbindungen zur TU-Darmstadt (Haltestellen Darmstadt Luisenplatz und Darmstadt Schloß).

Die nächsten Bushaltestellen zum Quartier56 sind (2-5 Gehminuten)

  • Dieburg Hochschule Nord/ Dieburg Hochschule Süd

Der Bahnhof Dieburg ist zu Fuß etwa 20 Minuten entfernt.
Von hier aus fahren Bahnen in Richtung

  • Aschaffenburg
  • Wiesbaden (über Darmstadt)
  • Frankfurt (über Dreieich/Buschschlag)
